Documentation
Web2App turns your website into an Android and iPhone app, and wraps a real native layer around it - navigation, notifications, downloads, sharing, an offline screen. You keep your website, your Firebase project, your developer accounts and your backend.
What it is
You give it a URL, a name, an icon and a colour. It generates a Flutter
project, builds it, and hands you a signed Android app you can upload to
Google Play. For iPhone it hands you the complete project as a
.zip, because Apple's build tools only run on macOS.
The website stays yours and stays live. Nothing is copied, scraped or frozen - the app loads your real site, so a change you publish is a change your app users see immediately, with no new release.
What it is not
- It is not a website builder. You bring a site that already works on a phone.
- It does not host anything. Your site stays wherever it is now.
- It does not sit between your server and your users. Notifications go from your backend to Firebase to the phone; Web2App is not in that path and does not need to be running.
- It never asks for your Google or Apple password.
A Google Play developer account to publish on Android, and an Apple Developer account for iPhone. Both are registered in your name, both are paid to Google and Apple directly, and if you ever stop using Web2App your apps and your listings stay with you.
